Mechanical Design Engineer - Sustainable Energy Division - Dublin - M&E Contractor


We're seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Dublin to join our client's Sustainable Energy Division, a leading M&E contractor with a strong track record of award-winning projects.


About the Sustainable Energy Division:


- Specializes in designing and building innovative and sustainable energy systems across the UK and Ireland for over 12 years.


Roles and Responsibilities:


- Conduct feasibility, concept design, and detailed design work for heat network projects in Ireland and the UK.

- Collaborate with the project development team to conduct front-end engineering (FEED) studies for new projects.

- Lead mechanical design throughout the project lifecycle, supporting design, delivery, and commissioning phases.

- Engage with the supply chain to procure and deliver energy solutions.

- Develop and manage engineering tools and databases for project pipeline control and delivery.

- Conduct site visits to project sites in the UK and Ireland as needed for issue resolution during construction, commissioning, or operation phases.

- Review, analyze, and report on project performance.


Experience/Qualifications Required:


- Bachelor's degree (Level 8 / Honours) in engineering.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a mechanical/building services engineering role.

- Flexible and enthusiastic approach with a willingness to tackle new challenges.

- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.

- Experience in computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Solidworks.

- Desire to experience the full project engineering lifecycle, from concept design to operation.

- Ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of multidisciplinary counterparts.
