Production Manager

Employment: Full Time

Salary: £42,000+

Location: Remote (with on-site travel to concerts and festivals in Shrewsbury, London, Manchester, and Birmingham)


Overview:

We are seeking a Production Manager to join a leading events production company that collaborates with top global brands to deliver brand activations, festivals, and experiential events. In this role, you'll be involved in all stages of project execution, from initial creative concept to final production, ensuring seamless project delivery.


Responsibilities:

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, liaising with clients and internal teams. You'll work independently and as part of a team to produce and execute various projects for industry-leading clients in Technology, Fashion, and Drinks sectors. Your tasks will include planning, coordinating technical installations, managing suppliers and internal teams, creating schedules, providing project status reports, and handling budget reconciliation.


Your Day-to-Day:

- Collaborate with internal teams to manage live and experiential marketing projects.

- Utilize technical design and drafting skills in collaboration with the internal creative team.

- Develop and implement production and build schedules.

- Oversee technical and scenic installations at events, ensuring safe removal afterward.

- Advise in-house Account Managers on complex technical aspects of live events.

- Engage in client and project development processes, contributing to pitches and proposals for new business.

- Contribute to estimates, quotes, and project specifications.

- Coordinate crew and logistics, including technical and local crew, teams, and vehicles.

- Produce health and safety documentation using industry software.

- Provide staff training to enhance self-sufficiency.


Required Qualifications:

- 5+ years of event production/project management experience.

- Understanding of project management elements across various event sectors, particularly temporary structures and related production overlays (scenic, sound, rigging, light, video, power, logistics).

- Knowledge of production processes and resource/timelines needed for production requirements.

- Solid site management experience and familiarity with building processes, equipment, and tooling requirements.

- Proven leadership and management skills, including experience in staff and crew management.

- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

- Strong problem-solving abilities with a technical and creative mindset.

- Proficient IT skills, preferably with experience in using Google suite.

- Familiarity with H&S and licensing regulations.

- Ability to manage advancing documentation (RAMS, H+S, etc.).

- Budget and financial planning capabilities.

- Commercial awareness and ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize workload.

- Reliability, dependability, and flexibility with working hours.

- Self-motivated, upbeat, and energized.

- Full driving license.


Preferred Additions (but not required):

- Ability to create, read, and interpret drawings from Sketchup, Vectorworks, AutoCAD.

- Plant tickets (Forklift, picker, telehandler).

- Industry standard qualifications (plant tickets, H&S, first aid, etc.).
