Electrical Engineer - Data Center Development (West London)

Leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Europe and the UK. Involved in projects across many sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering Manager in various tasks.
• Prepare and submit technical documents for approval.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders on technical and commercial matters.
• Participate in project engineering and design development.
• Assist with pre-construction activities like design, construction details, and technical submittals.
• Help resolve coordination issues and provide technical support to various teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience Required

• Possess at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with knowledge of telecoms, BMS, and EPMS systems.
• Understand LV and HV distribution, containment systems, lighting systems, and small power systems.
• Have experience commissioning EPMS/BMS systems.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills in all aspects of electrical engineering services.
• Be proactive, independent, and self-driven.
• Possess knowledge of relevant industry standards like IS, BS, EN, and IEC.
• Have experience interacting and managing clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Be a good communicator and team player.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Be proficient in Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite and Navisworks software.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
