Position: Sustainability Lead

Location: Cork or Dublin, Ireland (Requires travel to project sites)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sustainability Lead with a strong track record in construction to spearhead and advance our sustainability projects. You will be part of a dedicated and ambitious team, working in an environment that values your ideas and contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on committing to science-based targets and charting the pathway to success.
• Assess project options for net-zero opportunities.
• Develop policies and processes supporting sustainability goals.
• Create practical, sustainable execution plans for projects, supporting clients’ targets in biodiversity, waste, water, and energy efficiency.
• Identify financing opportunities for sustainable solutions.
• Continuously scout and assess new strategic opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients and engineering teams to develop sustainable, cost-effective solutions for projects.
• Ensure company adherence to waste reduction commitments.
• Monitor legal compliance and industry best practices.
• Stay updated on developments from industry bodies and networks.
• Provide guidance and support to the Group Engineering Director.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Mechanical, Sustainable, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of design and construction experience.
• Proficiency in 3D design using contemporary software platforms.
• Ability to work with diverse teams to implement strategies.
• Engagement with clients to understand their strategies and present our roadmap.
• Frequent travel across Ireland, the UK, and Europe to implement plans and assist teams and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of commissioning, Health, Safety, and Environmental systems.
• Commercial acumen.
• Eagerness to expand expertise in the field.
