Venue Director - Audio Visual, Event Technology

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary Range: $76,000 - $83,000

Role Summary:

As the Venue Director, your primary responsibility will be the efficient management of our busy venue. You will focus on maintaining profitability and ensuring client satisfaction. This role requires you to meet sales and operational objectives while providing exceptional customer service to various stakeholders, including hotel partners, clients, and team members. Your dedication to fostering a positive work environment, promoting diversity, and continuously improving the venue relationship will be crucial. The position may involve flexible working hours, including weekends, with minimal travel required. We seek a candidate who understands and aligns with the company's strategic goals, mission, values, and principles.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the execution of events, prioritizing excellent customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.

2. Manage floor operations efficiently, including timely setup and breakdown of equipment and other essential tasks.

3. Review profit and loss statements to ensure profitability, effectively utilizing resources and implementing cost control measures when necessary.

4. Maintain inventory integrity, ensuring quality, organization, functionality, and availability.

5. Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and innovations by attending relevant hotel meetings and training sessions.

6. Build and maintain strong relationships with venue partners, representing the company as a valued partner during hotel meetings and customer site visits.

7. Ensure timely payment of payables and accurate processing of billing and invoices, following financial management SOPs.

8. Utilize the Sales Process to optimize revenue and improve capture rate throughout all sales cycle phases.

9. Train, manage, and develop team members according to company SOPs, promoting elevated customer service standards, employee growth, and a culture of achievement.

10. Effectively utilize company computer systems, continuously updating and improving technical skills required for operation.

11. Provide technical support during events as needed and delegate tasks effectively when required.

12. Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures, carrying out assigned duties.


Qualifications & Experience:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in the audio-visual and/or hospitality industry preferred.

- Demonstrated experience in aligning team members with common goals.
