Mid/Senior-level Patent Prosecution Associate 

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Salary: up to $180,000

Their Intellectual Property Practice Group practice group is in search of a mid to senior-level patent prosecution associate/department attorney to join the Chicago office. As a leading full-service firm with deep patent expertise, the practice group assists clients in securing and retaining ownership of their intellectual property, capitalizing on their inventions, and strategically leveraging the technologies of tomorrow.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the team on navigating competitor patents, maximizing the value of client intellectual property, and safeguarding client assets.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years of patent prosecution experience
• An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or any equivalent thereof and USPTO admission 
• Admission to the Illinois Bar 
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-centered environment while managing a diverse caseload involving complex legal issues.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position in Chicago is up to $180,000, in accordance with applicable Federal and State laws. This range is the firm's good faith estimate and may be subject to change. 

The position also offers a standard benefits package with the possibility of additional contingent compensation based on performance, location, experience, and qualifications.
