Job Summary

A prestigious firm is looking for a dynamic Intellectual Property Litigation Associate with 2–3 years of experience to join their Washington,D.C office. You'll be involved in every stage of IP litigation, from depositions to trials, working closely with clients, experts, and a skilled team to craft winning strategies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analyze intellectual property laws and precedents.
  • Draft and review essential legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
  • Collaborate on case strategies and provide recommendations to senior attorneys.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Work closely with clients and experts to gather and analyze evidence.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on the latest legal developments and trends in IP litigation.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • 2–3 years of experience in IP litigation, preferably in a large law firm.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property laws, especially patents.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.


Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • A background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is a plus.


Compensation

The expected salary range is $235,000–$260,000, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
