Labor & Employment Associates (Junior to Mid Level)
Locations: Los Angeles, San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
Two leading law firms (Am Law 200 Firms) are seeking talented mid-level to senior associates for their Labor & Employment practices. These positions offer outstanding opportunities to join prestigious firms, gain valuable experience in collaborative environments, and work on high-profile matters for renowned clients.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in employment litigation, employment counseling, and traditional labor work
- Strong background in employment law, including federal and state laws (especially California)
- Experience advising employers, including early and mid-stage start-up companies, on various employment law issues
- Litigation experience with both single plaintiff and complex cases
- Excellent academic credentials and references
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- California bar membership required for California positions
Responsibilities:
- Handle employment litigation and counseling
- Advise on wage/hour issues, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification assessments
- Prepare and review employment agreements and policies
- Counsel and litigate in areas such as employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, trade secrets, workplace privacy, and executive employment agreements
- Advise employers and train managers on personnel systems, policies, and practices

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary ranges:
- $235,000 to $435,000
- Actual base salary may depend on various factors including qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location

- Discretionary bonuses may be available based on performance
