Job Summary: The Antitrust group within the Litigation & Enforcement department is seeking an associate (2-4 years) to join the team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of government regulatory procedures and significant interest in antitrust law.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct antitrust due diligence and assess risks related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Handle the antitrust review process for M&A transactions.
  • Manage 'second request' and other government antitrust investigations by the FTC, DOJ, and state enforcers.
  • Defend acquisitions challenged in court.
  • Routinely advise corporate clients with clear and effective communication.


Required Skills and Abilities:

  • 2 to 4 years experience in antitrust due diligence and the antitrust review process for M&A transactions.
  • Experience handling government antitrust investigations by the FTC, DOJ, and state enforcers.
  • Ability to defend acquisitions in court.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Antitrust litigation experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Admission to practice in the District of Columbia.
  • Experience at the FTC and/or DOJ Antitrust Division is highly encouraged.
