Job Summary
As the Country Manager for Thailand, you will be responsible for establishing the marketplace’s presence in the country, driving business growth, and building key relationships in the trading card industry. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial leader with a strong understanding of the local market and a passion for collectibles.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Strategy: Formulate and execute a market entry and growth strategy tailored to Thailand, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals.
- Business Development: Build partnerships with local trading card retailers, distributors, and influencers to drive user growth and brand visibility.
- Operations Oversight: Manage local operations, ensuring smooth customer support, logistics, and platform efficiency.
- Sales & Marketing: Create and implement marketing campaigns targeting the Thai market, using a mix of digital platforms, events, and promotions.
- Team Management: Hire, lead, and develop a local team, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and motivated to achieve success.
- Financial Management: Oversee the country’s budget and financial performance, balancing investment in growth with profitability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all business activities comply with Thailand’s legal and regulatory frameworks, including e-commerce regulations, data protection, and taxation.
- Community Engagement: Cultivate and engage the trading card community in Thailand through local events, partnerships, and active engagement on social platforms.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in a leadership role within e-commerce, digital platforms, or related industries, with experience in start-ups or scale-ups preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the trading card industry or broader collectibles market.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Demonstrated ability to lead market entry strategies and drive business growth in a competitive landscape.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills in both English and Thai.
- Market Expertise: In-depth understanding of the Thai business environment, consumer behavior, and legal landscape.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to leverage data for decision-making and performance management.
