A top U.S. law firm is hiring a commercial real estate finance associate with 2–6 years of experience for its Charlotte office. The role involves representing commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies, and debt funds in the financing of a wide range of commercial property asset classes.

The ideal candidate will have experience advising lenders on the origination of mortgage, mezzanine, and construction loans, and exposure to loan syndication and securitization. You’ll also conduct diligence related to title, survey, leases, and other commercial property matters.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • 2–4 years of experience representing lenders in commercial real estate transactions
  • Hands-on experience with mortgage, mezzanine, or construction loan origination
  • Exposure to loan syndication or securitization
  • Proficiency with property diligence (title, survey, lease review)
  • Workout / Restructuring / Foreclosure experience is a plus
  • Strong academic background and large law firm experience
  • Admission to practice in North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain admission


Compensation:

Base salary range: $235,000 – $390,000, based on experience and qualifications. Bonus eligible.
