A premier U.S. law firm is seeking junior to mid-level transactional associates with 2+ years of experience to join its Capital Markets group, focusing on commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). This role centers on representing institutional clients in the origination, securitization, syndication, and/or participation of commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans.

This is a high-volume, document-intensive practice involving real estate diligence, structuring, and documentation in connection with CMBS and other structured finance transactions.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • At least 2 years of transactional legal experience
  • Background in commercial real estate finance, preferably involving:
  1. CMBS
  2. Mezzanine loans
  3. Syndicated or participated loans
  4. Securitization or loan structuring
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience reviewing property diligence materials (title, survey, leases, etc.) is a plus
  • Admission to practice law in North Carolina, or eligibility for admission


Compensation:

Base salary range: $235,000 – $390,000, based on experience and qualifications. Bonus eligible.
