About the Role

The firm is seeking an experienced employment attorney to join its internal legal team in New York. This position will advise on a wide range of employment law and compliance matters impacting the firm’s global offices, working closely with senior leadership and functional departments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and practical advice to the People Function, Benefits, and other departments on employment law compliance and day-to-day employee relations issues.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in local, state, federal, and international employment laws to ensure the firm’s practices remain compliant.
  • Assist in developing and implementing firmwide policies and initiatives, including training programs.
  • Draft and review employment-related agreements, including service agreements with external vendors.
  • Participate in domestic and international audits to assess compliance with employment regulations.
  • Conduct annual reviews of the firm’s employment policies and procedures.
  • Support immigration-related processes as needed.


Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years practicing employment law, ideally with in-house legal department experience.
  • Experience advising multistate and multinational employers; familiarity with international employment laws is preferred.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
  • Deep understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent judgment and the ability to offer pragmatic solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range for this New York position is expected to be $350,000 – $400,000 annually, with actual compensation determined by experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
