Patent Prosecution Associate/Of Counsel (Life Sciences)

Salary: $345,000 to $415,000 

Our client, a leading AM Law 200 firm, seeks a Patent Prosecution Associate with 5+ years of experience in biotechnology to join their New York office. This role provides the opportunity to manage all aspects of the patent prosecution process for clients in the biotechnology field. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team to prepare and prosecute patent applications; conduct patent landscape, freedom-to-operate, noninfringement, and invalidity analyses, as well as mentor junior patent agents.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in patent prosecution with a focus on biotechnology
• Advanced degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, pharmacology, or a related field
• Patent Bar admission
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills
• Strong research, analysis, and communication skills
• Ability to manage patent matters independently and collaborate effectively
• Willingness to take a front-facing role with clients and external parties
