
Senior Employment Attorney

Job Summary:
A leading law firm is seeking a non-partnership track Senior Employment Attorney for its Los Angeles office. The role involves handling a wide range of employment law matters, including litigation management, legal research, and drafting for class action and single plaintiff cases. The attorney will also provide advice on employment-related aspects of corporate transactions and draft and negotiate various employment agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation tasks related to employment law, including meal and rest period violations, wage disputes, misclassification, harassment, and wrongful termination cases.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and represent clients in state and federal courts.
- Provide counsel on employment issues, including restrictive covenants, employee mobility, and compensation practices.
- Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions and assist with due diligence processes.
- Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements such as termination/severance agreements and commission plans.
Minimum Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Admitted to practice law in California.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong background in litigation and transactional work.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including wage and hour laws and the California Labor Code.
- Experience in defending class and collective actions, handling PAGA claims, and providing day-to-day advice to clients.

Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected annual pay range for this position, if hired to work in California, is $250,000 to $375,000.
