Role Summary


The Venue Director I is responsible for the effective management of their assigned venue, ensuring profitability, meeting sales and operational objectives, and providing exceptional customer service to stakeholders, including hotel partners, clients, and team members. The Venue Director I will cultivate an environment of accomplishment, promote diversity, pursue ongoing improvement, and unwaveringly commit to nurturing and expanding the venue relationship. Business hours will fluctuate, with extended hours on weekends and minimal travel required. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the company’s strategic goals, mission, values, and principles.


Key Responsibilities


1. Lead the execution of events while maintaining the highest level of customer service for internal and external stakeholders.

2. Manage efficient floor operations, including prompt and accurate setup and breakdown of equipment and other vital floor activities.

3. Review P&L to ensure profitability, managing expenses by effectively utilizing resources and implementing cost control measures when needed.

4. Maintain inventory integrity, ensuring quality, functionality, organization, and availability.

5. Attend hotel meetings as necessary and keep up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and innovations.

6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with venue partners and represent the company as a valued partner at hotel meetings and customer site visits.

7. Ensure prompt payment of all payables and timely processing of billing and invoices, adhering to financial management SOPs.

8. Utilize Sales Process to optimize revenue and improve capture rate during all sales cycle phases.

9. Train, manage, and develop team members according to company SOPs, fostering elevated customer service standards, employee growth, and a culture of achievement.

10. Effectively use company computer systems, continually updating and improving systems and technical skills required for operation.

11. Provide technical support for events as necessary and delegate tasks effectively when needed.

12. Comply with all safety protocols and standard operating procedures and perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience


- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in the audio-visual and/or hospitality industry preferred.

- Demonstrated experience in aligning team members with common goals.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build long-term relationships (with internal teams and external partners).
