About the Practice

The Emerging Companies + Venture Capital (ECVC) group represents start-ups, founders, and investors at all stages of growth and across sectors, including technology, life sciences, and consumer products. The practice includes venture financings, M&A for startups, capital strategy, public offerings, and commercial transactions. The team works closely with clients from inception to exit, delivering strategic advice and seamless execution.



Role Summary

The firm is seeking a mid-level associate attorney with 4–6 years of experience focused on ECVC work. Ideal candidates will have handled at least ten venture financings using NVCA documents and possess a strong understanding of startup and investor-side transactions.

Additional experience with M&A transactions involving early-stage companies is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, client management, and transactional skills, and be comfortable working with fast-growing companies across industries.



Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 4–6 years of ECVC legal experience
  • Minimum 10 venture financings using NVCA docs
  • Exposure to startup M&A transactions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Business-oriented mindset with sound legal judgment
  • Interest in or experience with technology, life sciences, or consumer product sectors
  • Licensed in applicable state or eligible to waive in
