Job Description:

A leading national law firm, recognized as one of Fortune's Best Places to Work, is seeking an associate attorney to join their Bankruptcy & Restructuring group in either Chicago, Los Angeles, or Phoenix.

The firm prides itself on a culture of collaboration, client dedication, and mutual respect. Their Bankruptcy & Restructuring group represents debtors, official committees, acquirers, and significant creditors in both out-of-court workouts and in-court proceedings nationwide. The group also handles bankruptcy litigation matters involving fraudulent and preferential transfers.


Ideal Candidate:

  • 2-5 years of commercial bankruptcy experience at a national law firm
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Bankruptcy clerkship experience preferred


Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in commercial bankruptcy matters
  • Assist with out-of-court workouts and in-court proceedings
  • Contribute to bankruptcy litigation involving fraudulent and preferential transfers


Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in the state of practice
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Compensation:

California compensation range: $235,000 to $365,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
