Corporate M&A Associate (Mid-Level)

Locations: Bay Area (San Francisco or Silicon Valley), Seattle, Santa Monica, or New York

Job Type: Full-Time | Hybrid

The Opportunity

A top-tier law firm with a strong national footprint is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–5 years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions to join its dynamic corporate practice. This group represents companies across the tech and life sciences ecosystems, supporting clients from formation through exit.

You’ll work on headline-making transactions and represent a mix of growth-stage and established companies, as well as key institutional investors and strategic buyers. The firm’s corporate platform is highly integrated, offering cross-functional support in tax, IP, employment, and regulatory.

Firm Culture & Attorney Experience

  • The firm promotes a team‑oriented, collaborative environment, with frequent social and departmental events
  • A Glassdoor mid‑level associate described it as, “best law firm I have ever worked for in NY! Employees are treated…”, highlighting supportive leadership
  • That said, some note it’s a competitive environment—“long hours” and occasional intensity depending on team dynamics

What Associates Say

From Vault:

Will (partner, Silicon Valley):
“I advise private companies… from pre‑formation… through an exit. As a junior associate… there are almost immediate opportunities to interact with clients and play a more senior role than your title.”
Serena (Associate, NYC):
“I appreciate that the practice keeps me on my toes—I get to learn something new every day… creative, innovative solutions for my team and our clients.”
