As a Project Engineer, you will:
- Have overall responsibility for individual equipment and plant components within a project, from proposal support, design, and specification through to commissioning.
- Specifically handle the exhaust gas cleaning plant components and equipment in our plants.
- Keep the equipment packages within budget, adhere to the agreed execution time and our quality requirements, and execute them according to our 'Deliver Plant Solutions' process.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues in other disciplines to clarify interfaces with process, plant design, concrete and steel construction, and electrical, instrumentation, and control.
- Coordinate our global design offices and suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries in accordance with our strict quality standards.
- Organize and conduct inspections at our global manufacturing facilities.
- Participate in engineering review meetings and follow up on open items.
- Lead and continuously improve collaboration with our engineering partners within your scope of responsibilities.
- Support internal product development projects to drive modularization of our equipment and machinery.
- Develop professionally in the field of exhaust gas cleaning.
For a successful application, you need:
- A master's or bachelor's degree in an engineering science, preferably mechanical engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in the design and execution of gas cleaning systems, including DeSOx and DeNOx systems.
- Knowledge of common mechanical engineering manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of specification and design of machine elements.
- The ability to manage several projects simultaneously, attention to detail, and a structured way of working.
- The ability to communicate effectively across disciplines and cultures.
- Proficiency in written and spoken German and English. Additional language skills are an advantage.
- Skills in working with at least one 3D CAD environment (e.g., Autodesk Inventor).
- Affinity for modern tools and ways of working, including document management and product data management systems, as well as the Office 365 collaboration platform.
- Open-mindedness to travel worldwide and enjoy working in international teams.
