About the Insurance Recovery Practice

The firm’s nationally recognized Insurance Recovery group represents policyholders in enforcing their rights to coverage under nearly every type of commercial insurance policy. The team manages a wide range of complex disputes, from high-stakes litigation to mediation and arbitration, and has successfully handled some of the largest policyholder cases in the country. About the Role

The firm is seeking a junior to mid-level associate to join its busy Insurance Recovery practice. This is an opportunity to work alongside highly respected practitioners on sophisticated coverage disputes and litigation, serving major policyholders across a broad range of industries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent policyholders in disputes and litigation involving a wide array of commercial insurance claims
  • Analyze complex insurance policies and provide strategic guidance on coverage and recovery
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and participate in discovery, negotiations, and trial preparation
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop and execute effective case strategies

Key Qualifications

  • At least two years of insurance policyholder experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or boutique focused on policyholder work, or one year plus a federal clerkship
  • Excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills, with the ability to provide clear, business-oriented advice
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in the jurisdiction of the desired office location

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range is $210,000 to $390,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The firm provides a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), medical, dental, vision insurance, paid personal medical and parental leave, up to ten paid holidays, and family care support.
