We are dedicated to bringing together collectors and enthusiasts of trading cards, creating a seamless and exciting platform for buying, selling, and trading. As we expand into Indonesia, we are seeking an ambitious and driven Country Manager to lead our operations and help us establish a strong presence in the Indonesian market.


Job Summary

As the Country Manager in Indonesia, you will be responsible for driving business growth, overseeing local operations, and building strategic partnerships within the trading card industry. This role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for the trading card community, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to navigate the local market dynamics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Market Strategy: Develop and implement a localized strategy to grow the marketplace’s presence in Indonesia, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives.
  • Business Development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with local businesses, trading card retailers, distributors, and influencers to drive brand awareness and user acquisition.
  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, including customer support, logistics, and inventory management to ensure smooth functioning of the platform.
  • Sales & Marketing: Develop and execute marketing campaigns tailored to the Indonesian market, leveraging social media, events, and promotions to engage the community.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a local team, including hiring, training, and performance management to ensure a high-performing, motivated workforce.
  • Financial Management: Manage the local budget, ensuring profitability while balancing investments in growth initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all local operations comply with Indonesia’s legal and regulatory requirements, including taxation, data privacy, and e-commerce regulations.
  • Community Engagement: Foster a vibrant trading card community in Indonesia by organizing events, collaborating with local card game communities, and promoting a culture of trust and engagement within the platform.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in e-commerce, digital platforms, or the collectibles industry. Experience with a start-up or scale-up is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the trading card market, including trends, key players, and customer preferences.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies in a competitive market.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build and lead teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Local Market Expertise: Deep understanding of Indonesia’s business environment, customer behavior, and regulatory landscape.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and manage performance metrics.
