Overview

A leading national law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Associate to join its Corporate and Private Equity group. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions for premier private equity clients and participate in one of the most active middle-market deal teams in the country. The associate may sit in the firm’s Dallas, Chicago, or Pittsburgh office.



About the Practice

The Corporate and Private Equity Department is comprised of more than 90 attorneys nationwide, representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, limited partners, and emerging fund managers. The group regularly advises on:

  • Leveraged buyouts and rollups
  • Minority and junior capital investments
  • Independent sponsor transactions
  • Fund formation (PE, venture, growth, real estate)
  • Distressed M&A and “going private” deals

The team is widely recognized for its Emerging Manager Program and consistently ranked as a top U.S. corporate law practice by PitchBook, Bloomberg, Mergermarket, and Refinitiv.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • 4–5 years of experience in private equity M&A transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage components of deal execution and interface with clients
  • Excellent writing, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Admission to the Texas Bar required (or ability to waive in if relocating)
