Position Overview

The firm is actively seeking a motivated and hard-working attorney to join its sophisticated and expanding national restructuring and insolvency practice. Key Responsibilities

• Financial Restructurings: Engage in corporate financial restructurings, loan workouts, and corporate reorganizations.
• Distress M&A and Bankruptcy: Handle distress M&A transactions and participate in bankruptcy proceedings, including litigation.
• Team Collaboration: Work independently and effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality legal services.
• Client Interaction: Provide strategic advice and legal counsel to clients involved in complex insolvency scenarios.

Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Experience:
• 1-3 years of experience in corporate financial restructurings, loan workouts, corporate reorganizations, distress M&A, bankruptcy, or related litigation, such as complex commercial litigation.
• Previous experience with a federal circuit court, district court, or bankruptcy clerkship is advantageous.
• Skills:
• Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing skills.
• Ability to manage complex legal issues with a keen eye for detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Licensure: Must be admitted and in good standing with the bar in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
