Role Description:  

Become a member of a blockchain infrastructure development team.

Assist in the build-out and deployment of an automated operation and maintenance system for blockchain P2P network nodes. 

Requires in-depth understanding of the consensus mechanisms of various blockchain networks and collaboration with other colleagues in the development efforts of various infrastructure services. 

Location: Remote (Canada, US, Europe, Singapore) 

Responsibilities:  

1. Build a secure and high-available node operation and maintenance system to monitor, detect,  and reduce various operation and security issues  

2. Oversee system administration of Linux servers, including proactive day-to-day management of  system infrastructure health, stability, and availability 

3. Create and maintain key systems application technical documentation and knowledge base

4. Establish and maintain best practices in P2P network security  

5. Operational risk management: create, maintain, and communicate threat-detection models +  risk assessments reviews for all operating systems/processes/applications 

Prerequisites: 

1. Excellent communication skills, creative and outside the box thinker, high emphasize on  teamwork, able to project manage efficiently. 

2. Ability to operate in an environment with certain degrees of uncertainty/ambiguity while  keeping focus on core mandate and drive tasks to completion. 

3. Experienced in deploying, operating, monitoring, optimizing and troubleshooting large scale  infrastructure. 

4. Previous work experience in DevOps/SRE/SysAdmin/Infrastructure Engineer, or related fields

5. Previous experience in managing infrastructure with high availability requirements. 

6. Experience with secure network, system and application architecture and development

7. Domain knowledge on Geth’s block, transaction, TxPool, EVM, P2P protocols

8. Understanding of websocket, full internet network stack, and Linux security

9. Prior working experience/knowledge with Strong understanding of Continuous Integration (CI)  and Continuous Deployment (CD) automation workflows / tool stack is optional but preferred 10. Familiarity with Docker runtime, Kubernetes, and other cloud technologies is a plus
