Role Overview: The firm is seeking a mid-level Tax Associate with significant corporate and restructuring transactional experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in the preparation and negotiation of documents and a deep understanding of relevant tax law. AmLaw 50 experience is required, and candidates must be barred in New York or have already applied for admission.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage corporate and restructuring transactional tax matters.
  • Prepare and negotiate tax-related documents.
  • Provide strategic tax advice and planning to clients.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of relevant tax laws.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and other associates on complex tax issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments in tax law.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience: Minimum of 4 years of corporate and restructuring transactional experience, including preparation and negotiation of documents.
  • AmLaw 50 Experience: Experience working at an AmLaw 50 firm.
  • Legal Expertise: Deep understanding of relevant tax law.
  • Bar Admission: Barred in New York or having already applied for admission.
  • Academic Excellence: Strong academic credentials.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Client Interaction: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Team Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Anticipated annual base salary range of $365,000 to $420,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
