About the Role

A national law firm is seeking a mid-level or senior associate to join its Real Estate and Land Use group in Chicago. This team is part of a Chambers-ranked practice with 12 professionals locally and over 50 attorneys and specialists across the country.

The role offers the opportunity to handle a broad spectrum of real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, financings, leasing, zoning and land use, and asset management. Clients include sophisticated institutional investors, lenders, private equity investors, developers, start-ups, health systems, renewable energy companies, and franchise businesses.

The ideal candidate is motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to build a career in diverse areas of real estate law. A strong commitment to collaboration, mentorship, and professional development is essential.


Key Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience across multiple areas such as acquisitions, sales, leasing, financings, zoning and land use, or asset management.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary and discretionary bonus.
  • For associates based in Chicago, compensation generally ranges from $190,000 to $265,000 annually.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, health, vision, dental, 401(k), life, and disability insurance.
  • Compensation is based on market, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and book of business for more senior roles.
