A leading law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group in the Chicago office. This role involves working on complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, representing a diverse range of stakeholders across the United States.


About the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice Group:

The multidisciplinary team offers a comprehensive suite of services to guide clients through restructuring and insolvency proceedings. From pre-workout planning through litigation, the group represents corporate debtors, investors, asset purchasers, committees, bondholders, secured and unsecured creditors, directors, and other key stakeholders involved with distressed businesses.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and represent clients in corporate restructuring, bankruptcy proceedings, and related litigation
  • Work with various stakeholders, including corporate debtors, creditors, and investors
  • Handle complex restructuring and insolvency cases across multiple jurisdictions


Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in bankruptcy law or recent experience as a clerk in a bankruptcy court
  • Skills: Strong legal analysis and writing abilities
  • Qualifications: Excellent academic credentials, strong references, and active licensure (or eligibility to be licensed) in the applicable jurisdiction
