Associate (4–5 Years) - Finance

Location: Boston, New York or Chicago

Job Summary: The Finance Practice Group is seeking a mid-level associate with 4-5 years of proven legal experience handling sophisticated leveraged financing transactions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Represent private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and/or financial institutions in debt financing transactions.
• Assist clients in structuring and executing leveraged finance transactions.
• Draft and review finance documents, including credit agreements, high yield bond indentures, commitment letters, term sheets, security and guarantee agreements, and intercreditor and subordination agreements.
• Provide legal advice to clients to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
• Stay current on industry trends and legal developments.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 4-5 years of experience at a large law firm representing private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and/or lenders in leveraged finance transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Strong academic record and a J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to and good standing with the bar of chosen location.
• Preferred: Experience working in a global team environment.
