The firm’s Labor & Employment group represents clients across industries in navigating a wide range of workplace issues. The team advises on employment litigation, wage and hour class actions, complex counseling matters, and labor issues tied to corporate transactions. Known for a strategic, practical approach, the group partners closely with clients to develop tailored solutions that align with business objectives.


About the Role

The firm is seeking a midlevel to senior associate with 5 to 7 years of employment law experience to join its Labor & Employment practice in San Francisco or Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building a practice and enjoy working creatively with clients to solve challenging workplace issues.


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits, including wage and hour matters
  • Handle employment litigation tasks such as drafting motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and appearing in court
  • Draft key documents including motions to compel arbitration, oppositions to class certification, settlement agreements, and employment contracts such as separation agreements, offer letters, arbitration agreements, and PIIAs
  • Provide day-to-day counseling on employment practices and compliance matters
  • Conduct labor and employment due diligence in M&A transactions

Key Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of employment law experience, ideally from an AmLaw 100 firm
  • Admitted to the California Bar
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing skills
  • Experience with single-plaintiff and class action litigation, wage and hour disputes, and client counseling
  • Demonstrated ability to draft complex motions and employment-related agreements
  • Familiarity with conducting labor diligence for corporate transactions is highly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range is $310,000 to $420,000 annually, with compensation dependent on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
