About the Role

A national law firm is seeking a mid-level associate with 5+ years of experience to join its Commercial Litigation practice in San Diego. This is an opportunity to handle sophisticated matters alongside a collaborative team in a dynamic office environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience across a broad range of complex commercial disputes, including class action defense, business torts, trade secrets, unfair competition, and complex contract litigation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research complex legal issues and draft high-quality legal memoranda and motions.
  • Appear and argue at hearings in court and arbitration.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions.


Key Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Strong academic record and demonstrated analytical and advocacy skills.
  • Experience with class actions, business torts, trade secrets, or unfair competition is highly valued.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus discretionary bonuses.
  • For associates based in San Diego, compensation generally ranges from $175,000 to $250,000 annually.

  • Compensation determined by market, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and book of business for more senior roles.
