About the Role:

A leading global law firm is seeking a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of law firm experience to join our Tax group in Houston or Washington, D.C. As a lateral associate, you'll be part of a team of experienced attorneys working on complex tax transactional matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising clients on a variety of tax matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings
• Preparing tax opinions and memos
• Conducting tax due diligence
• Representing clients in tax audits and appeals

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of law firm experience in complex tax transactional matters
• Strong academic record
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for tax law
