The Director of People is accountable for developing, directing, and executing people strategies critical to the achievement of overall business goals.
The Director of People will lead the HR Department in driving excellence in the following HR functional areas (not limited to):
- Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Employer Branding
- Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits, and Engagement)
- Culture Building
- Performance Management
- Learning and Development
- Employee Relations and Grievance Management
- HR Compliance
This role is accountable for ensuring Chronos attracts and retains top talents, fostering a strong and healthy company culture, and delivering a positive employee experience to all Chronosians.
We expect the Director of People to be the person working very closely with the senior leadership team in creating one of the best people-first organisations in the industry.

- Collaborating with senior leadership and key stakeholders to understand the organisation's goals and strategy, in relation to driving relevant and effective people strategy
- Designing and managing implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Developing and continuously optimising the company’s Performance Management process
- Ensuring that talent acquisition needs are anticipated and met on a timely basis
- Driving People Strategies that continuously improve eNPS and Employee Engagement & Satisfaction rates
- Overseeing administration of compensation and benefits including annual salary reviews and market research, ensuring competitiveness of the company’s compensation packages
- Hiring functional Leaders to drive excellence in the different HR functions
- Regularly reporting to senior leadership on HR KPIs
- Creating, maintaining, and optimising all HR systems and processes
- Establishing the Learning and Development functionality which is currently absent at the company, ensuring employees are equipped with knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their roles
- Taking the lead in strengthening the organisational culture, ensuring that the company’s values are demonstrated in talent-related programs and practices
- Driving continuous improvement focused on employee engagement and welfare activities to maximize productivity and aid in employee retention
- Addressing employee grievances and disputes, ensuring Managers are capable of managing workforce issues
- Ensuring the company’s compliance with local employment laws and regulations as well as recommended best practices in overall HR Management; regularly reviewing existing policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Leading the HR Team by managing, guiding, and developing all team members to be equipped with capabilities crucial in consistently delivering high quality results and services
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Management or other related courses
- At least 10 years of progressive work experience in end to end HR Management, no less than 5 years of experience working for international organisations, and at least 5 years in a management/leadership capacity
- Experience in remote startups/SMEs environment (fast-growing culture)
- Credible experience serving as a strategic business partner to organisational leaders across all facets of HR including talent acquisition, total rewards, employee/industrial relations, learning and development, and people and performance management
- Expertise in designing and implementing global HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Understanding and experience with Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing strategies
- Successful track record in international stakeholder engagement and project management
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations, accepted professional standards, and local legislations (including legislation on employment, data protection, and health & safety)
- Experience in setting, managing, and monitoring annual company-wide and departmental HR/talent budgets
- Knowledgeable about identifying, tracking, analysing, and improving HR KPIs
- Excellent planning, organisational, and goal-setting skills (knowledge of OKRs is a plus)
- Well-versed in the latest HR technologies and must be savvy about relevant systems and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; possesses a positive and approachable manner
- Methodical, has a strong attention to detail, and able to make quick and rational decisions
