Overview

A top national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate and Private Equity team. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in private equity buyouts and M&A transactions, with the ability to independently lead deal execution and client relationships. The position offers flexibility across multiple office locations and the opportunity to work with one of the most active and respected PE practices in the country.


About the Practice

The Corporate and Private Equity Department includes more than 90 attorneys focused on middle-market and upper-middle-market transactions. The team represents top-tier private equity funds, independent sponsors, portfolio companies, and institutional investors in:

  • Leveraged buyouts and rollups
  • Minority and growth equity investments
  • Independent sponsor deals
  • “Going private” transactions
  • Restructurings and distressed acquisitions

The department is also a leader in fund formation, representing emerging managers and limited partners in the formation of PE, venture, growth, mezzanine, and real estate funds. The practice is consistently ranked among the most active in the U.S. by PitchBook, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, and Mergermarket.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • 5–7 years of experience in private equity M&A at a national or highly regarded regional law firm
  • Proven ability to lead deal teams and manage complex transactions
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills
  • Admission to the Texas Bar is required (or ability to waive in, depending on location)
