Position Overview

The firm is seeking an attorney with at least 2-3 years of experience working on federal, state, and local tax matters. Candidates must have excellent client relationship and communication skills, the ability to work independently, a team-oriented mentality, and be a motivated self-starter with strong law school credentials and references.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze complex federal tax matters
  • Assist in structuring mergers and acquisitions and related tax work on such transactions
  • Work with tax exempt organizations advising them on corporate governance matters and federal tax issues
  • Assist on tax controversy matters, including state and local tax audits, appeals, and litigation
  • Collaborate with partners and associates across practice groups and across offices
  • Interact independently with clients
  • Supervise and review more junior attorneys' work



Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience working on federal, state, and local tax matters
  • Prior firm experience working on complex tax matters
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team-oriented mentality
  • Highly motivated and self-starter
  • Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong law school credentials and references
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds
