
International Trade Associate

About the Role: A leading law firm seeks an International Trade Associate to join its International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice group. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex matters within a practice consistently ranked in Band 1 by Chambers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on international trade policy issues including China, USMCA, Sections 232 and 301, UFLPA, tariffs, customs issues, and WTO matters.
- Handle supply chain issues, including ESG-related supply chain tracing and due diligence (e.g., UFLPA, EUDR, CBAM), and supply chain reshoring efforts (e.g., CHIPS and IRA).
- Engage in advocacy before the executive branch and Congress.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 to 6 years in international trade policy and supply chain matters.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Solid understanding of international trade and supply chain legal and policy environments.
- Persuasive writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel internationally.
- Preferred: Quantitative capabilities, background in accounting and/or economics, and proficiency with Excel.
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensing: Active membership and standing in the District of Columbia Bar.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $250,000 to $370,000 annually (dependent on experience and qualifications).
