A prestigious law firm in Chicago is actively seeking an Environmental Law Associate Attorney to join the esteemed Energy, Environment & Natural Resources Practice Group. This position presents an exciting opportunity for attorneys with a focus on environmental law, energy, and natural resources to contribute to a thriving team in a dynamic legal environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel and representation on environmental law matters

- Handle energy regulatory and renewable energy work for clients

- Participate in state regulatory proceedings, including rulemakings and rate cases

- Advise on energy policy and compliance for retail electric and gas suppliers

- Familiarity with community solar programs, electric vehicle charging station deployment, and retail energy supply contracts is a plus

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

- Admission to the Illinois Bar

- 2-5 years of experience in environmental law, energy, and natural resources

- Strong academic achievement with excellent research and writing skills

- Dedication to providing exceptional client service and teamwork
