Job Description

A renowned law firm is seeking a Department Attorney to join its Construction and Real Estate Litigation practice group in San Francisco, CA. About the Position

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3-6 years of experience in commercial and real estate litigation. The successful candidate will become part of a Chambers-rated construction practice, engaging in a range of legal activities, including research, drafting, and discovery. The role involves working with various clients, such as major public entities, private developers, and contractors, providing significant client contact and stand-up lawyering experiences, including depositions and trial/arbitration work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Research and Drafting: Conduct thorough legal research and draft documents related to construction and real estate litigation.
  • Discovery: Engage in discovery processes, including gathering and analyzing evidence and preparing discovery documents.
  • Client Interaction: Work closely with a diverse client base, providing strategic legal counsel and representation.
  • Trial and Arbitration: Participate actively in depositions, trial preparations, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Team Collaboration: Operate effectively within a team-oriented, client-centric environment while managing a varied caseload.


Qualifications

  • Education: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Experience: 3-6 years of experience in construction matters, particularly in legal research, drafting, and discovery.
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent judgment and communication skills.
  • Licensure: Must be admitted and in good standing with the California State Bar.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Salary Range:
  • San Francisco, CA: $150,000 - $160,000
  • Benefits Package:
  • A comprehensive standard benefits package is available.
  • Additional contingent compensation may be offered based on various factors, including work performance, geographic location, work experience, education, and qualifications. This contingent compensation may vary and could be zero ($0) in some cases.
