Environmental Litigation Associate

A prominent law firm is seeking an Environmental Litigation Associate with 4-5 years of experience to join the Chemical Life Science practice group in the Chicago office.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle environmental and/or toxic tort and product liability matters.
  • Engage in class actions related to false advertising and/or unfair business practices.
  • Conduct research and provide client advisory services.
  • Analyze and draft pleadings.
  • Manage strategic discovery responses.
  • Participate in motion practice, witness preparation, and trial preparation.
  • Contribute to business development activities.
  • Communicate directly with clients, assuming immediate responsibility within a collaborative team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in science and/or medical issues.
  • Knowledge of and interest in environmental compliance and chemical regulation.


Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Illinois Bar, in good standing.

Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated salary range is $245,000 to $295,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
